Hopefully kids (likely teenage boys) will vandalize the fuck outta them. Many seem to be near high schools so chances are good.

An actual conversation I had with some Radom person yesterday
Why *wouldn’t* you remove speed cameras?

*inserts slippery slope argument*.
In my opinion, speed cameras and red light cameras cause more issues than they prevent. People get too focused on the camera, rather than just driving the damn car!

Both are not bad ideas but are horribly implemented. They ought to be setup such that they work how the police actually function in the area. A cop is not going to pull you over for doing 5-10 over. But that speed camera will most certainly pop you for doing 11 over every time. Same for traffic lights. If it was obviously unsafe to stop, the cop is not going to come after you for the yellow light running.
But the speed cameras are great for idiots doing 100 in a 55 or running a stale red blatantly. Those people are an actual menace to society and generally just get away with it.

Damn, and I was hoping the PCs would cancel them. Ahh well, I guess Waze will be seeing a bit more run time.

I wonder if Google Maps will have those locations as well, I never use Waze.

I’m surprised that they’re even bothering to post a 90-day heads-up . You’d think that they’d consider speed limit signs to be enough of a warning .

Google M aps has ported the speed cameras feature, but it might not be up-to-the-minute like Waze.
